Her wit effortlessly lifts your spirits, making her books ideal for brightening your mood after a tough day. However, some aspects can be disappointing, such as the main characters’ immediate trust in each other during their first meeting and the female lead’s perceived weakness. At times, Hoover’s inclusion of numerous intimate scenes slows the pace of the story, forcing you to skip a page or two to stay engaged with the plot.
